DMC4 Nero: Red Queen Tutorial Part 01 of 02 by 23rdAngel DMC4 Nero: Red Queen Tutorial Part 01 of 02 by 23rdAngel
Hi there, here's another tuTs from your Angel. This time I want to share how I start my projects before I even hold a cutter. That is drawing a blueprint. Blueprint are really useful as it provides a life-size reference and gives you a clearer understanding on how to make the prop before getting started. This saved me countless of times in not wasting materials due to unforeseen mistakes that might happen in propsmaking. It also let me picture as how well the weapon will look when I hold it's paper version (blueprint) in hand.

So as always, I hope you all find this useful. Will be posting the actual propsmaking of Red Queen next :ahoy:

In here we brought them from a store named Progress, they sell Home and Office Furnishings. So I guess you can check out your local shops that also sells similar products. Or get in touch with a Manila cosplayer and ask where they got their foam from :)

You're welcome :)

For the handle cover, they are just felt paper, red. Cut in strips then just rugby both strips and handle together.
Handle is made up of PVC pipe, 1 inch in diameter.
Base is illustration board. Much lighter than sintra.
The body and blade is build up with craft foam. 2mm and 4mm thick foams.

and Nero is a he.
