This is a wonderful guide for cosplayers
I am actually surprised by how much layering he has, it is ridiculous.

...I wonder how he stays cool with all of these one.

Does the shirt in the top left of the picture the "Inner Garment" have a name?

Its just that. Inner garment for Jace.

well yeah that is Jace's inner garment :P :P but I was asking in real life does that shirt style have a name or is it 100% custom? I think I've seen that style before but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me that's the only reason I ask.

Ah. Now I gets, haha. Pardon me.
Its custom but the closest in real life would be a Changpao (for women), a type of traditional chinese clothing. However Jace's is cut much shorter and slimmer compared to it.

Would you happen to mind if I presented this 'blue'print to a costume designer of mine so that he might work on this cosplay for me? I would, of course, credit you fully for any eventual results.

Thank you ever so much, I have been looking all over the web for a decent source of plans for a Jace cosplay and this just hits so may marks. I am hoping to be apart of a Planeswalker cosplay group at one of the cons down under soon, and I have earmarked Jace in our group, so this will help me out to no end. :)

Can you explain the process of making the pants? I can't read the text, and when I zoom in, it only makes it blurrier.

Or better yet, can this be commissioned? How much would you charge?

Press the Download button =)
Uploaded it as high res.

Underneath the pants are padded cloth and sewn in vertically to make the strips. It will serve the pant's side details and cover up the 3 holes (slits) found at the front of pants. Afterwards sew the pants normally with any jean patterns, but with no sides like a hakama. Sew in the inner-padded like the one on the blueprint (grey parts). Butt pockets are optional since I always have a problem where to store my wallet and cellphone whenever i cosplay.

The white "rune" details are cut then sewn in below. Much easier than sewing it underneath the pants.

Not open to any commission right now due to constraint in my time. Sorry :hmm:

So you took jeans, cut out the hips and sewed in the hip-pads? And the hip-pads extend beyond the pentagon shape on the sides, sewed internally, so they're visible as the slits cut out?
See, what confuses me is that in the results picture, it doesn't look like there's jeans.

Jeans I mean, their patterns. Make a fresh pants using the same pattern as what they usually use for jeans/pants.

Yep, extends beyond the pentagon.

Holy crap this is the most useful thing I've ever laid my eyes on. I'm in the middle of making a Jace cosplay and was going to ask you, after seeing your other full Jace pics, if you had a shot of the back of your cloak...
but wow this is just amazing.
I'm assuming you didn't add any extra white marks to the back of the cloak. So far there's been no canon reference of it afaik, so I think I'll keep it like yours and not mark it (unless new art is published in the future).
Thank you thank you thank you though. I will be sure to drop your name in if people have questions about my cosplay ^_^

Thanks LittleDogSoup.
Actually, there is a white tatoo mark at the back of the costume (also found in the Planeswalker's webcomic). At the upper-right of the blueprint you see a full body of Jace, below him is the white mark print at the back (spans from your back torso down to the leg's midsection) :)

Oh, I see! I looked at that symbol and then brushed it off as nothing :)
Okay, I am going to assume that back of torso means generally around the small of my back/a bit above waistline.
Thanks again so much! I'm sewing together the bulk of my cloak now and am excited to post pictures in the upcoming future.

It is very nice... is there a larger version, where the notes are more legible? I would love to cosplay as Jace, but the patterns and such befuddle me as to how to do it.
