Terra Boots by 23rdAngel Terra Boots by 23rdAngel
This never show up in any of my current Terra pics, so I just wanted to share before I do full body photoshoot with Terra.

So yeah.. umm.. its from scratch.

First time to do something like this. It made me see the pros and cons of making your own and not resorting to murder actual boots. Like its cheaper and 3x lighter than Nike. Made of foam with a thick sintra as base.

Last pic is the aftermath of test running the boots through HobCon and Japan Festival Events. Studying it so to further improve the design and enabling future boots to withstand harsher demands.

Super Glue. I use Grecco, similar to the Mighty Bond brand but I believe much stronger.

Heel is made out of 2 layers of thick foam, but one has a side that is textured. Foams with this texture are usually more tougher.

The white you see at the bottom of the shoe is a thick sintra board. Heated to form that curved shape. Sintra after heating are more solid when cooled.

For most of my works, I use craft foams or Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA foams). Preferably black because paint doesn't seem to stick well with colored ones and white gets dirty over time in storage =)
